Conventions of magazine adverts
Typical conventions of magazine adverts:
-Artist name-Used to promote the artist.
-Album/single name-This is important so the audience is able to recognise the name of the album.
-Release date/purchase information-So that the audience knows when, how, and where they can purchase the album or single. For example website, HMV, iTunes, Amazon.
-Main image-Used to promote the artist, links to brand identity, and the digipak of the album or single.
-Tour dates-Lets the audience know when they can book their tickets to see the artist perform.
-Brand identity (motifs/logos/fonts).
-Ratings and reviews-To show how the album is perceived by others and whether it would be a suitable purchase for them. Artists would have positive ratings on the adverts so that this does not tarnish the brand name they've created.
-Websites-Are important to have on magazine adverts so that the audience knows where they can find additional information about the artist/tour dates/albums/singles etc.
-Formats available on
-Record label-This is important as the record label will give the audience insight into what type of music they produce, the addition of the record label logo may make the advertisement look more appealing and interesting.
