Canon DSLR

The Camera I will use is the most prfessional camera that is available to me, therefore I will utilize it to the best of my ability. I have read different blogs, forums, and tutorials in order to do so, which have allowed me to develop my knowledge of such cameras, and have given me the ability to use the camera in the best way possible.

Battery and battery charger

Understandably the battery is one of the most important  pieces of equipment  need, as it will actually allow me to use the camera, without it the camera will be less than useless, because I will be filming in a studio location, I will not need an extra battery, as the charger can be plugged into any plug socket if the need arises, therefore the battery can be charged on location in between scene set-ups, this eliminates the risk the battery running out, and ruining my filming times.

Tripod and mount

The tripod is needed to get still shots of my music video, which means I wouldn't need to stand and hld the camera myself, as I will be starring in my video, this would've been impossible if not, the spirit measure on the tripod will help me make the camera shots paralell to the floor, this will give me the ability to act in the music video and film it at the same time. The tripod mount will be screwed into the bottom of the camera and then attached to the tripod. The extendable legs on te tripod will allow me to shoot at eye level with the subjects which will give me the desired shot  angles I planned for.

Memory card

The memory card allows me to save footage. As I will be in the studio setting, I can easily use a laptop to save each shot after the take, then I will rename each file, and number them so it is easier to order in the editing process, by doing this I will save time, and show high levels of organisation, this will also let me see if I have each shot I need, as each of my storyboard shots are numbered as well, therefore if I did forget a shot, I could re-shoot that scene or make changes to the ordering of my shots to acheieve the desired affects. The memory card is also 32GB so it can hold a great amount of footage, letting me make room for outtakes and improvements.

Camera bag and tripod bag

Although I will be in a secure location where little equipment movement will be needed, I will be filming over a number of days, which will mean I have to pack the equipment up and unpack it the following day, this iwill keep the equipment safe and dry, so that I can transport it. The camera bag is also equiped with many compartments which will allow me to store each part of my equipment safely and securely, as the bag will house the camera, the memory card and the battery and charger. The tripod bag has a long extendable handle which can be adjusted for safe transportation, therefore this will be beneficial for me to move it.
